US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training program for all athletes with intellectual, emotional, and or physical disabilities.

The program strives to provide soccer opportunities (the opportunity of soccer) for players to develop at their own pace in a safe, fun, and supportive/inclusive environment.

TOPSoccer was formed to perpetuate the US Youth Soccer mission statement which is, in part, "to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition."

What is Futsal?

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided game that places a large emphasis on teaching technical foot skill and ability in tight spaces. Futsal is a quick style of soccer popular in Brazil and in Europe. The essence of the Brazilian style is the efficiency with split-second improvisation, creativity and technique. Played on a small, indoor field with a smaller, heavier ball, our program emphasizes ball control and precise passing.

We offer age-based programs Sunday, 1-4PM. This program is open to children ages 5 to 14. 
This is a 1-hour program, once a week, brought you locally by Everson Soccer Academy and the Soccer Club of Newington.

Fees:
One Session for $110.
BOTH Sessions for $200 by registering no later than 12/07 for BOTH and using the Coupon Code: 309628 before 12/07/2024 for the Discount of $20.00. ONLY GOOD WHEN ORDERING SESSION 1 AND SESSION 2.

Pre-K Opportunities

2025 Spring Pre-K Program

Recreational Soccer at the Soccer Club of Newington is open to all boys and girls. No tryout is ever required and no one is turned away.

The goals of the program are developing soccer skills, having fun, learning teamwork and creating a lifelong love of the game. 

The program is led by our director of coaches, and a team of parent volunteers.

Pre-K registration is $85 ($115 for non-residents) for the 6 week season. Children Age 4 will play at 9:30am and children age 2 1/2 to 3 will play at 10:30am.  

Participants receive a shirt. Parents should furnish their child with shorts, socks and a size 3 ball.

***VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
If you register, please notate that you are available to volunteer via registration or by contacting the Pre-K director - [email protected]. Volunteers who can commit for the entire season will have their registration fees refunded after the final session. All volunteers will need to pass a background check, complete the SafeSport certification, and attend a private session led by our director of coaches (bring your kids for a free session!)

Recreational Opportunities

2025 Spring Recreational Program

Recreational Soccer at the Soccer Club of Newington is open to all boys and girls. 
No tryout is ever required and no one is turned away. 

The goals of the program are developing soccer skills, having fun, learning teamwork and creating a lifelong love of the game.

Recreational teams practice 2 nights per week (Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday) and generally have games on Saturdays. Age group U10 and older may play teams out of town.

Price for the program is $115.00.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! If you are selected to be a head coach for recreational soccer, you will receive a check in the amount of $115 (cost of one child's registration) at the end of the season when you turn in your equipment bag. All coaches are required to complete a background check, attend pre-season training, including concussion protocol training, attend practice sessions and games, and communicate with their players weekly.

The SCON Travel Program is designed for high-level, competitive play. The travel soccer program is organized by age and gender. It provides a highly competitive training and playing environment for those players (and their families) who have the required athletic ability, soccer skills, commitment, and can meet the other demands placed upon them.

Therefore, making the roster, and staying on the roster, must be earned based on the team member’s play.

Travel soccer playing time is based on the team’s needs, and is at the coach’s discretion.

You must tryout to join a travel team. SCON requires all travel teams to have a tryout each year. Some teams however, may have supplemental tryouts at other times during the year.
