U13 Girls
"We had a difficult cup game loss in Newtown Saturday. As has been the case in many of our games this year, we played a solid first half, but just could not finish. After being scoreless the entire game, we succumbed to a late goal in the last 6 minutes of the second half. I asked our players during pre-game to give it all they had and leave it on the field. Each one did, there was no quit in them! Unfortunately, that’s just soccer sometimes; if you don’t capitalize on early chances, the end result most often goes against you. Player mention: Nora Lewandowski executed exceptionally well for us again this week, cutting off several break-away runners and over-the-top through balls. Her on-field composure and player intelligence enables her to contribute to the offense from the back as well. She rarely makes mistakes with the ball."
