Each year the Thibodaux Soccer Association offers a competitive level of soccer called the UNITED tournament league instead of the normal recreational league.  Players age U9 and up can tryout for these UNITED teams respective to their age.  Some general differences of the UNITED Tournament league as compared to recreational soccer are:

• Coaches of the United teams have advanced soccer coach training;
• Development and enhancement of soccer skills both technical and tactical;
• Weekend tournament play (includes both Saturday and Sunday);
• Required team practices; and an
• Increased level of competitive soccer play.

The Thibodaux Soccer Association will be hosting UNITED soccer tryouts for the 2015/16 season in the near future.  If your child is interested in participating in the tryouts you must send an email by Thursday, May 7, 2015 to:

Interested in tryouts:  Yes

Last year’s coach and age level of play:

Would you play for that coach again next year:  Yes or No

Player’s desired level of play (Age level? Example U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, etc...):

TSA will collect this email data and will then submit invitation emails to all players for their specific age level tryouts indicating the specific date/time/location and any other additional information necessary for tryouts.  TSA hopes to conduct all tryout in the month of May and will determine these dates after the email deadline has ended. 

NOTE:  TSA prefers all participants to play at their correct age level; however, TSA allows players to play up at least one age level if the player’s skill level is considered by the team coach and tryout staff that the player’s skill level would be better served at the older age group.
